Our Whereabouts

"Tranquil Escapes" is situated in between lots of little Portuguese towns: Tunes. Paderne, São Bartolomeu de Messines and Algoz (click here to see a 176 KB map).

Once a month they all have markets which are great fun with all the pottery and other typical things on offer.

Also in these towns there are municipal markets where you can everyday find local grown vegetables and fruits and where you can see farmers arriving with mule and trap and sometimes a tractor with the farmer's wife sitting in the digger part with all the vegetable to sell that day. I still love these sights.

We are only 20 mins from Albufeira which is still classed as the main tourist town for the Algarve.  All main beaches within 20 minutes.

A new shopping centre - 15 mins away - makes sure you do not have to do without any of the food you are used to. You can buy nearly everything you would buy at home. Also at this shopping centre there are cinemas, bowling alley and lots of very nice clothing shops.

We are very central and near any main tourist sight you would like to go to.
